Boele Fire Protection, in collaboration with specialists from the Unica group network, has received certification from Kiwa Fire Safety & Security Certification (FSS) for FIRE Vision Sprinkler. This innovative solution allows for bi-weekly remote testing of sprinkler installations. The certificate confirms that FIRE Vision Sprinkler not only provides benefits but also meets the highest quality standards in the field of remote access and service. Additionally, the first contract has already been secured by Pyrock, a fire protection installer.
Mischa van der Geld from Kiwa FSS presented the certificate for the FIRE Vision sprinkler innovation to cluster director Tom Verschoor and digital manager Raycko van Hummel. This certification, based on K21045 (SCP07- Remote Access Remote Service for Sprinkler Systems), demonstrates the ability to perform management activities for sprinkler installations and monitor and test them remotely in an effective and innovative manner. The certification program imposes requirements on remote testing of sprinkler systems from three perspectives. Firstly, international cybersecurity requirements from IEC 62443 (3-3), the remote access and remote service process for fire safety systems (EN 50710), and the requirements for management activities for sprinkler systems based on NFPA and TB80.
With the certification of FIRE Vision by Kiwa, Boele Fire Protection confirms its position as an innovative player in the field of fire safety and its continuous pursuit of more sustainable and efficient fire safety solutions: "For our cluster, innovation is about improving processes, products, and services to better serve customers while making fire protection more sustainable, efficient, and smarter. FIRE Vision Sprinkler is a great example of that. This certification underscores the success in developing innovative fire safety solutions and sets the tone for a future in which such innovative maintenance concepts hopefully become standard", said cluster director Tom Verschoor.
Several months ago, FIRE Vision sprinkler was launched with the aim of sustainably supporting customers in the periodic management and testing of sprinkler installations. With this innovation, customers gain 24/7 digital insight into their installations, and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions (Scope 3 of the CO2 Performance Ladder) is achieved. We are proud to announce that the first contract has been secured with Pyrock B.V, an installer in fire safety. The adoption of this new solution not only demonstrates a commitment to effective fire safety but also highlights the contribution of an advanced and certified management concept in relation to fire safety.
FIRE Vision Sprinkler is an innovation that enables the mandatory bi-weekly remote testing of sprinkler installations from a central control room while maintaining quality. This technology provides service technicians with the ability to immediately perceive the location and nature of the alert, leading to faster and more targeted actions.
The benefits of FIRE Vision Sprinkler not only include remote testing but also the efficient integration of other management tasks. This ensures optimal fire safety and compliance with maintenance requirements (TB80). For organizations, this results in significant CO2 reduction, savings on the Total Cost of Ownership, and reduced operational disruption. By using available data, potential malfunctions can also be addressed more quickly, integrating predictive maintenance. This allows for more sustainable and efficient testing and monitoring of installations while maintaining the highest quality standards.
